Wood克Earth, Earth克Water, Water克Fire, Fire克Metal, Metal克Wood; the former restrains the latter.

Traditional correspondences: Tree roots penetrate earth, earth blocks water, water extinguishes fire, fire melts metal, metal chops wood.

In the Ten Gods (Shishen), the element that克the Day Master is the Officer/Seven Killings (Guan Sha), and the element the Day Master克is the Wealth star (Cai Xing).

⚠️ '克' (kè) means restraint, not destruction. In traditional fate analysis,适度的克 is considered constraining and constructive, and is not necessarily bad.
