Wei Xiu, the Tail Lodge, is the sixth of the Twenty-Eight Mansions and part of the Eastern Azure Dragon seven-mansion group. Traditionally, its element is Fire and its symbolic animal is the tiger. In almanacs, it is often classified as a fortunate lodge, considered suitable for activities like opening businesses, groundbreaking, or travel when it presides over a day. Symbolizing the tail or a conclusion, it is associated with passion and drive in astrology. Therefore, in traditional date selection, its auspiciousness was referenced for scheduling events requiring energy and progress. Although mansion-based date selection is less common today, the fortune implications of Wei Xiu are still recorded in some folk traditions or old almanacs.
