Chai Chuan Jin is a type of Nayin Five Phases element within the Sixty Jiazi cycle, corresponding to the Geng Xu and Xin Hai years. Its imagery derives from small metal ornaments, such as hairpins or bracelets, used by ancient women, not referring to large gold ingots or weapons. Traditionally, this metal is considered to be finely crafted, small and delicate in form. In destiny analysis, it is often viewed as metal that requires refinement, possessing decorative and yin-soft characteristics. Classical almanacs frequently use such imagery to explain its elemental attributes and productive/overcoming relationships. Today, this concept is primarily used for explanations within traditional cultural knowledge.
