Jianxia Shui (Stream Water)

One of the Sixy Jiazi Nayin, classified under the Water element. The name refers to water flowing in mountain streams and creeks—its volume is small but clear to the bottom, following the contours of the terrain. Jianxia Shui symbolizes a quality of steady, modest flow that is pure and unobtrusive. In traditional metaphysical interpretation, this type of water energy represents intelligence and agility, but on a relatively small scale; it needs to converge with other streams to grow stronger. In old almanacs, when selecting auspicious dates for matters related to waterworks or roads, the prosperity or decline of such water imagery might be considered.
