Pine and Cypress Wood is a wood-attribute combination within the Sixty Jiazi Nayin, corresponding to the two Ganzhi (干支) pairs Gengyin (庚寅) and Xinmao (辛卯). The name is derived from the image of pine and cypress trees, traditionally characterized by their hard wood and evergreen nature throughout the four seasons, distinguishing them from more ephemeral flora. In old almanacs, when analyzing a year's fate or a day's pillar and encountering Gengyin or Xinmao, this Nayin was used to symbolize resilience.
