Tiande
In the Chinese almanac, the term 'Tiande' has two different sources: one refers to one of the Twelve Day Officers (belonging to the auspicious Yellow Path system), and the other refers to the 'Tiande' in the astrological system of Shensha, meaning the virtue associated with a solar term. Together with 'Yuede,' it is one of the most highly weighted auspicious deities in traditional almanacs, traditionally used for construction, renovations, and prayers for blessings.
The term 'Tiande' has two different origins and uses in the Chinese almanac; when reading, you must first identify its source. The first type is as one of the Twelve Day Officers, belonging to the auspicious Yellow Path system, whose designated day is generally considered a favorable day. The second type is the 'Tiande' in the Shensha (astrological deities and malefic stars) system. Together with 'Yuede,' it is regarded as a highly weighted auspicious deity in traditional almanacs. Its appearance in a direction or on a date is usually considered particularly auspicious. Traditionally, it was used for important matters such as construction, renovations, prayers for blessings, and averting disasters, seeking divine favor and protection from heaven.
