Yù Táng (Jade Hall)

One of the Twelve Day Officers (Shí'èr Zhí Shén), a Yellow Way (Huángdào) day. Traditionally used for documents, construction, and bed installation.

Yù Táng (Jade Hall) is one of the Twelve Day Officers (Shí'èr Zhí Shén), and traditional almanacs classify its day as auspicious. The name evokes imagery of nobility and elegance. In old date selection, if the day officer was Yù Táng, it was generally considered suitable for activities related to documents, scholarship, and settling a home—such as signing contracts, constructing buildings, or installing beds—for its connotations of stability, comfort, and smooth literary inspiration.
