The Earthly Branch of the birth month, also known as the "Month Branch" or "the Guide".

It is the most powerful pillar in the entire chart because it represents the season of birth — the Five Elements that are in season are naturally strong, while those that are not in season are naturally weak. The first criterion for judging the strength of the Day Master, "gaining the decree," refers to this.

⚠️ The Month's Decree is determined by solar terms, not by the lunar calendar month. A person born between the Start of Spring and the Awakening of Insects is in the Yín month, regardless of whether the lunar calendar says it is the twelfth or the first month.
