Jiamā refers to the construction of a temporary wooden scaffold for workers to perform building or repair work at heights, functioning similarly to modern scaffolding. As this concerns the safety and efficiency of construction, it was traditionally believed that choosing an auspicious day for erecting this scaffold would bless the workers with safety and ensure the subsequent project's smooth progress.
