Jiechu
Jiechu (解除) is a ritual to dispel misfortune and cleanse impurities, marking an end to a streak of bad luck.
Jiechu is a ritual for averting disaster and dispelling misfortune, typically held after experiencing bad luck, household unease, or an inauspicious event. Traditionally, a priest or Taoist master is invited to perform specific rites to cleanse impurities and neutralize harmful influences, symbolically bringing negative events to a close and restoring a state of purity. These rituals are not routine and are performed only when it is believed negative energy needs to be cleared.
