Jin Tang (Golden Hall)
In old times, it was suitable for constructing palaces, undertaking renovations, and setting up beds.
The name 'Jin Tang' evokes imagery of grandeur and stability. In the traditional date-selection practice related to construction and settling, this day is considered particularly auspicious for activities involving 'dwelling places,' such as breaking ground or building. Therefore, old almanacs often recommended using this day to construct palaces and residences, carry out renovation projects, or install beds. The purpose was to pray for architectural solidity, domestic peace, and to hope that residents would have a life foundation as stable as metal and stone.
