Opening the Warehouse

To open a warehouse for dispatching goods.

In the almanac, 'Opening the Warehouse' specifically refers to opening a warehouse to take out stored grain, goods, or other items for trade or distribution. In an agricultural society, this was an important economic activity, such as releasing grain after harvest or merchants dispatching stock. Traditionally, people would choose an auspicious day for this, believing it would ensure smooth circulation of goods, secure good prices, and prevent spoilage in storage. Today, the concept of 'dispatching goods' persists in large-scale warehousing and agricultural trade, though adherence to the traditional almanac for selecting dates is less common.
