Bridal Facial Grooming (Kāi Róng)

A pre-wedding facial beautification ritual for the bride, a different term for the practice known as 'wǎnmiàn'.

Kāiróng and wǎnmiàn are different names for the same pre-wedding ritual, referring to the beautification of the bride's face before her wedding. This ritual symbolizes the bride beginning a new chapter in her life and is an important part of the wedding preparations. To ensure good fortune, the date for the ritual must also be chosen as an auspicious day from the almanac.
