Gravestone Installation

The ceremony of erecting a tombstone in front of a grave. In traditional custom, gravestone installation is an important step after burial, serving to mark the location of the tomb and inscribe the ancestor's name, birth and death dates, and the installer, for descendants to identify and pay respects. In the old almanacs, the timing and date for installation needed to be chosen carefully, usually selecting an auspicious day and hour, hoping for a positive impact on descendants and family fortune while avoiding offending spirits. Although many details have been simplified in modern society, installing a gravestone for a deceased relative remains a common folk custom, and people still refer to the 'suitable for gravestone installation' entry in the almanac to determine the construction date.
