'Mother' refers to the element that generates me. On a day generated by the month's elemental phase, it was traditionally suitable for accepting wealth, planting, and raising livestock.

A day whose Heavenly Stem or Earthly Branch is generated by the month's elemental phase is called 'Mother Storage.' Traditionally, it was believed that on such days, all things are easily nourished and supported. Therefore, old almanacs often listed this day as suitable for accepting wealth, planting crops, and raising livestock, symbolizing a source of vitality and nourishing support.
