Mùyǎng refers to the daily work of raising and tending to livestock such as cattle, sheep, and horses, including tasks like grazing, feeding, and cleaning. This differs from a one-time 'nàchù' (purchasing livestock) as it involves continuous management. Traditionally, selecting an auspicious day to begin mùyǎng or perform important care work was done to ensure the health and successful breeding of the livestock. In modern terms, it corresponds to the daily management in animal husbandry or the ongoing care of pets.
