Puhu
Derived from 'universal protection,' it was traditionally considered auspicious for praying for blessings, performing sacrificial rites, and holding religious ceremonies.
Puhu signifies widespread shelter and protection. Traditionally, it was believed that on this day, divine forces possessed universal auspicious power, capable of covering a broad scope. Therefore, in the past, when needing to pray for blessings from deities or heaven and earth, conduct solemn sacrificial ceremonies, or perform religious rituals such as fasting and jiao offerings, this day was often chosen. The hope was that, through its characteristic of universal protection, wishes would be more easily fulfilled and the ceremonies would proceed smoothly and successfully.
