Shù zhù (Erecting Pillars)
The process of setting up the house's pillars.
This refers to the construction process where pre-made vertical pillars are erected and fixed into position one by one according to the design. The pillars are the main framework supporting the roof and beams. Their erection marks the house's development from the ground foundation upwards, with the frame taking initial shape. Traditionally, it is believed that erecting the pillars is crucial for the stability and the energy flow (气场) of the home, so an auspicious time must be chosen to carry out this work.
