Xiu Zao (Construction and Renovation)
The construction or renovation of a house; a broader term than 'Dong Tu' (Breaking Ground), encompassing the entire project.
A general term for all construction and repair work on houses or dwellings, ranging from new builds and extensions to renovations and refurbishments. Unlike 'Dong Tu', which specifically refers to the first digging of earth, 'Xiu Zao' is a broader term covering the entire building process. Traditionally, auspicious days may need to be selected separately for each major stage, such as the groundbreaking ceremony, roof beam installation, or door fitting.
