Continuing Generations (Xù Shì)
To continue generations; akin to 'Yìhòu' (benefiting descendants), traditionally suitable for prayers for heirs and ancestral rites.
「Xùshì」means continuing the family line and passing on the bloodline. This concept is similar to 「Yìhòu」, both emphasizing the transmission of family life. In traditional day selection, almanacs often list such days as auspicious for praying for children or performing ancestral rites. The purpose is to pray for the continuation of the family's lineage and to express remembrance and respect for ancestors.
