Yuè Shà is a type of inauspicious stellar influence related to the month in traditional Chinese calendar selection (zhēnrì xué). Old almanacs generally considered days under the Month-Calvary to be unlucky, believing that activities such as planting, raising livestock, construction and earth-moving, or marriage would easily encounter obstacles or be unfavorable on such days. Its specific calculation method is related to the monthly mandate (yuèlìng), aiming to remind people to avoid particularly inauspicious periods within certain months. This concept reflects the ancients' effort to harmonize human affairs with natural rhythms.
