Planting
The act of planting crops or trees.
'Planting' broadly refers to agricultural activities such as planting trees, seedlings, or vegetables and fruits. In the old agricultural society, the timing and days for sowing, transplanting rice seedlings, and planting trees were believed to affect crop growth and harvest. Therefore, traditional almanacs would mark auspicious days 'suitable for planting,' allowing people to arrange their farming work accordingly, praying for robust crop growth and a bountiful harvest. This tradition is still preserved in some agricultural activities or gardening hobbies today.
